My name is Brian Horgan. I have been playing the guitar for over sixteen years and teaching for more than ten. My earliest musical influences were Rock and Blues. Since then I have broadened my tastes to include practically all styles of music, from Heavy Metal to Pop, Folk, Classical and Jazz.

After finishing school I completed the Ballyfermot 'Rock School' music course. I then "paid my dues" playing in cover bands and have travelled as far as Germany and the United States. I have always enjoyed improvising with other musicians and have sat-in with various bands including the Mary Stokes Blues Band, the International Blues Band and the house band of Manny's Carwash (New York). I have also composed music for radio programmes and performed on a film soundtrack.

I've played with a number of original rock bands, most notably the Alt/rock band 'Skyjack' who were well respected on the Irish rock scene and had very positive press both in Ireland and the UK. I am currently writing and performing with a new rock band and recording my own instrumental music.
